Youth Ministry

To take part in God’s plan for the renewal of all creation.

What does it look like to be a Christian?  What does it mean to seek Jesus and live in God’s love?  What does it look and feel like to surrender our whole lives in order to love God and others?  What is the salvation that Jesus offers?  As Shane Claiborne has asked, we are told to lay everything at the cross but what are we supposed to pick up?  We come together to learn from, to encourage, and to support one another as we live challenging and rewarding lives that Jesus our Lord desires us to live.

Youth Ministry is not supposed to be just students, a couple of adult leaders, and a youth pastor.  It is meant to be made up of the whole church working together to invest in the lives of the future generation, to acknowledge the wisdom our youth possess, and to live life joyfully as equals in the Body of Christ.

“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young.  Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.”  -the apostle Paul writing to his apprentice Timothy (1 Timothy 4:12 NLT)
